Communications Fiji Limited through its five radio stations, Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang, Radio Sargam and website fijivillage.com managed to raise $145,000 through it’s listeners and followers for the CFL Australia Bushfire Victims Appeal and handed the cheque to Fiji Red Cross Society to be given to the Australian Red Cross.
CFL managed to raise the amount through the tremendous support shown by the listeners and followers of its five radio stations and website.
Acting Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, Anna Dorney says the response from Fijians has been immense.

Dorney says Fiji has really shown that they are ‘vuvale’ for Australia.
She says 33 people have passed away, millions of hectares have burnt down and 3000 homes have been destroyed in Australia.
Fiji Red Cross Disaster Management Coordinator, Maciu Nokelevu says they will ensure that this donation will be given to the Australian Red Cross.
Senior Content Director, Satya Nand says the response was overwhelming.
CFL had decided to start this appeal as Australia being one of our closest neighbours is going through one of the most difficult times in its history and they are always one of the first to help us in our time of need.
